What Candle Size Is Right For Me?
  • Classic Single Wick: Small space, like a bathroom
  • Large Triple Wick: Bedroom, or office
  • XL Triple Wick: Larger space, like an open kitchen, or living room

The larger the surface area, the greater the fragrance throw. Please also remember the care instructions we provide: the candle needs to burn from edge to edge for a few hours. It's the full wax pool that helps release the scent.

Candle Care Instructions

LET THE WAX POOL: The first time you light your candle, allow it to burn until the wax pool melts all the way to the edge; for a larger candle, this may take several hours. Wax has “memory,” so if it is extinguished with a partial pool, that will prevent a full, even pool from forming in the future. Be mindful of placement in your home, as air vents can affect the overall burn.

FOUR & TWO RULE: It is recommended that after burning for four hours, candles be extinguished, allowed to cool for two hours, and trimmed before relighting.

WICK CARE: Trim the wick each time you light the candle, removing any “bloom” from the previous burn. We recommend lighting a wick that is 1/4–1/2” in length.

KEEP IT CLEAN: Do not allow wick trimmings, dust, or other materials to accumulate in the wax pool. Utilize the cover provided, if applicable when the candle is not in use.

MORE ON THE BOTTOM: To ensure safety and longevity, be sure to check the
bottom of your candle for additional instructions, including details on when to
discontinue use.

RELAX AND ENJOY: When you need more we are here for you!

What Are Those Smaller Words Under the Scent or Candle Name?

These are additional scent descriptors. These are the notes you'd get on the nose (kind of like when smelling wine) and are meant to describe our candle. If the name of the candle is also the scent, the scent will not be repeated in the additional descriptors but will be the main characteristic of the candle.

Are Your Candles Vegan?

We use premium soy vegan wax; all the oils are vegan; and of course, the materials like the lid, label, and tumbler are BUT (and this applies to most candle companies, so I would make sure you always specifically ask), and the cotton wick is coated in a very small amount of bee's wax. The reason the wick is coated in bee wax is that it has a much higher melting point than soy wax, and it allows the wick to maintain its rigidness while the wax dries and cures. You don’t want the wick to absorb the oils, or it may not burn correctly, which could result in an unsafe burn. The portion of beeswax on the wicks' priming is, indeed, ethically sourced and makes up less than a percentage point of all materials used.

Can I Pick Up My Order?

Unfortunately, at this time, we don’t have a place for local pickup. We are trying to expand our operations and hope to have a larger warehouse space that will allow this in the near future.

Locally, The Neighbors Orlando, Maffrey's, The Good Pour, REI, and Edgewood Flowers all carry Wash + Wik!

If you’d like to be able to shop locally somewhere in the near future, please tell your favorite local shop that we offer wholesale! It would mean the world to us!

International Shipping (Outside the US)

For international orders, the best way to purchase is through our Etsy shop. With the ongoing changes and unpredictability around international tariffs, Etsy helps ensure all required customs forms and documentation are completed correctly.

Once your order is placed, we’ll find you the best available shipping rate. If the final shipping cost comes in lower than what you were charged, we’ll refund any shipping overages—no worries on your end.

What Oils Do You Use for Your Candles? Are They Clean?

Yes — we use clean, high-quality fragrance and essential oils in all of our candles.

Our oils are sourced from reputable suppliers that specialize in candle-safe fragrances, and all fragrances we use are phthalate-free. We carefully choose ingredients that are designed to burn cleanly and safely in home fragrance products.

Our scents are typically a blend of essential oils and safe synthetic fragrance oils. While we love using natural ingredients whenever possible, some fragrance notes simply can’t be created naturally or don’t perform well in candles on their own. Using a combination of both allows us to create unique, long-lasting scents while maintaining the quality and performance of our candles.

We’re committed to creating candles that are both enjoyable and thoughtfully made.

Are Your Candles Cruelty-Free?

Yes! None of our raw materials are tested on animals, and the small portion of beeswax on the wicks' priming is ethically sourced. See the question in regard to “Are your candles vegan?” for more info on why we use beeswax on our wicks.

Our candles have a clean burn, which makes them safe for you, your family, and, of course, your fluffy animal friends!

Tell Me More About Your Soy Wax!

We use premium soy wax that is Sustainably Sourced from our partners, who aim to have 100 percent verified deforestation-free and conversion-free soy supply chains. We spend a little more on this wax because, simply put, it is the right thing to do. Our supplier has also committed to planting 150,000 trees.

Do You Have Holiday Scents?

We do! Our holiday scents make up some of our favorite candles. We work with very little space to store raw materials, so these candles are usually only available from September to January. We encourage you to try our other candles while you wait for that special holiday scent!

What is a "Wickless" Tea Light?

This is just a little sample for you to smell! It is not meant to be lit. We sometimes have extra wax when we are pouring and it is a great way to showcase other scents.
